"So what do ya say Donna? It's only the rest of your life!"

"I don't know…"

Donna ran outside and looked at the ocean, she looked at the place where she had just told Sam how much he had hurt her all those years ago. She still did hurt, she couldn't get over it, though she wanted too. Now he was asking her to marry him? She didn't know what to do… she still loved him with all her heart but what if Sam realized that he didn't love her as much as he thought? What if he stopped loving her? What would happen to her if she got pushed away again by the only man she had ever really loved? She sat down on one of the stone steps that she had just climbed up. She thought about what she had just said to him, did he not get it? Did he not understand the pain that she had gone through? All these unanswered questions circled her mind. She didn't want to go in there and make a fool of herself and make possibly one of the biggest mistakes of her life by saying no, but she didn't know what would happen if she said yes. It was a vicious circle. She was scared, what of she wasn't sure, she just couldn't understand or make logic of what had happened. Then she realized something else, something important. Wasn't he already married? She wasn't a bigamist, she could never do that. She stood up and turned round only to find Sam looking straight at her.

He looked deep in her eyes, he still saw the pain behind her face, she looked scared. Was asking her to do this the right thing? Should he have waited or did he blow it already? Would she forgive him? Did she still love him? Was it too late? He didn't know what to say, he just stood there looking at her, not a word was said. He was waiting for something to happen, something he could only feel when she looked straight at him. Something that happened when they first looked at each other. He had only shared this with her. They had a strong connection, but he didn't know if Donna knew.

Donna did know, she wanted to make sure it was still there so she looked at him straight. It was there. She felt it, he felt it too. It was pure love for each other, they were made for each other. Donna broke the connection and looked towards the ground. She was trying to find words to say to explain how she was feeling, and how much she still loved him, even though he was still married. She couldn't find the words. If was as if her whole mind had just went blank as if she had forgotten everything.

"Donna, are you alright? I'm sorry if what I asked you was strange to you. It's just I'm a divorced man that has loved you for 21 years."

He wasn't married? 21 years? He still loved her? A wave of relief washed over her as those words made her figure out her questions - and the answer of the question he had asked.

"Sam, I'm fine," She took a step closer to him. "I'm sorry for acting like this. It's just I was so confused. All of it happened to quickly. Listen, Sam, I love you, so much, I didn't realize that you weren't still married and I wanted to let you know that…" She took a deep breath. "I will marry you."

Sam shot up to her and kissed her. He lifted her off the ground and twirled her around. He was so happy, it was a new beginning to an old story. It's was the second chance they wanted for each other and they knew that this time it was forever. They couldn't leave each other… not again. They went back inside the church to begin their happy ever after…
