Wednesday, the worst day of the week. Too far away from Sunday for there to be an excuse for a fucked up sleep schedule, but too far away from Saturday for there to be any reason to procrastinate on homework. The one thing that would made it better? Wednesday means that there is late start. Whichwould be a fantastic way to catch up on some much needed sleep. Y'know, if I wasn't here sitting at a park in the cold of a spring morning during my "sleeping in" time.
This park is the only public middle in between my house, my boyfriends house, and school though. So I kinda have to make due with this being our before school meet up spot. It'd be kinda dumb for one of us to walk halfway across town just to meet the other only to have to walk halfway across town to go to school.
"FUCKING HELL" a scream called out behind me. I turned around. Aaaaaaaaand there he is. That's my boyfriend. My boyfriend that just (very gracefully) tripped and fell off an 8 foot cement brick wall.
"Are you okay?" I questioned as I jogged up to greet him. Honestly I should be alarmed at this little display, but this kind of display happens far too often for me to worry about it every little time. He looked alright, just very very angry. I knelt down on the ground with him.
"I just fell off a wall, what do you think?" he asked sitting himself up. At least he looked okay.
"That maybe it was you fault for being on that wall?" I answered. Gilbert gasped.
"I had every right to be on that wall"
"Why is that, exactly?"
I assumed as much. "Are you hurt anywhere?" I changed the subject.
"Psh, of course I am. But your gift, ehhhh not so much." he waved off.
"Gift?"
"Uhh, yeah. I was planning on sneaking up on you to give you it, but as you can see it didn't go all too well..." he confessed.
"Why would you need to sneak up on me to give me a gift?"
"Well I would've tried to get here before you, but you're always here before me" he pointed out handing me a small heart shaped box. It was one of those $1.50 box of chocolates you get at the drug store this time of year. It had Snoopy and Woodstock on it, sharing a cheesy joke. I smiled.
"A little too early for Valentine's day, isn't it?"
"Well, this isn't your valentine's day present. Take a closer look at it"
Closer look? Well there's not much to look at to be frank with you. Just plain white Snoopy and Woodsto- oh. OHHH. Yep, Gil's already laughing. I'm right. The way they're drawn makes them look suspiciously like Gilbird and Kuma. We both were laughing.
"How long did it take you to find this?"
"I was actually just trying to find candy with Franny and Toni when I saw it" he explained.
"Let's get to school you dork" I shook my head. At this rate we really would be late. Well, it'd be worth it if I got to sit in slightly damp grass with him for a little longer.
