A/N: Hey, guys. Just a little free verse poem I wrote from Genkaku's point of view. It's really short, but it says what I wanted it to. So, enjoy! (And all the weird spacings, etc, are intentional.) And if it isn't obvious, it takes place right after his fight with Hibana. And sorry if he seems OOC.

Disclaimer: I don't own DW. If I did, Ganta wouldn't be a complete idiot.

I did it for you, you know.

You don't?

I did all this

/grin/

for you.

Every -

You don't believe me?

Your wife was holding you back.

I set you free.

/laugh/

Don't get mad.

Rather, don't get angry.

Anger twists your face –

Madness makes it beautiful.

You were so beautiful

When you killed;

When you ripped those men limb from limb

Separating them from the people that they loved

Just like you had been.

No one kills

quite as beautifully

as you.

She could've killed you,

But I told her not to –

For you.

Your eyes right now –

Are as wide as an owl's.

The pants coming from your mouth

are as soft as the hoot of an owl.

Your hands, talons.

Your tattered clothes, feathers.

My beautiful Owl,

I've done so much for you.

Will you do something for me?

Will you-

Fin.

A/N: I left it open ended for you, the readers, to finish. Genkaku could have said a number of things. I think that in a world without Deadmen and Undertakers, Nagi and Genkaku could have been good friends. A simple, platonic relationship. I'm just going to leave those kinds of relationships to Choplin.

As always, reviews/constructive criticism are appreciated.
