Author's Note: Sometimes my best inspiration comes from a little a mix of sports which help me relax and think, and music which inspires almost all of my stories. Enjoy this one! This is if, the Hunger Games never happened but Peeta and Katniss were together.

Disclaimer: I do not own the Hunger Games or the lyrics to the song "Marry Me" by Train.

Peeta stood in the clearing. He saw a movement, it took him a moment to realize who it was. She looked beautiful, stunning. Her black hair was pulled back in her usual braid, she had on a white strapless dress that went to just below her knees. Her pale gray eyes sparkled in the moonlight. She blushed, the redness of her face visible even in the darkest of nights. When she reached him, he got down on one knee and took her hand. She looked confused for only a moment.

Forever can never be long enough for me

To feel like I've had long enough with you

Forget the world now, we won't let them see

But there's one thing left to do

Now that the wait has lifted

Love has surely shifted my way

Marry Me

Today and every day

Marry Me

If I ever get to say hello in this café

The world held its breath, along with Peeta. Katniss seemed unable to find the words she needed to answer. The silence seemed to stretch on forever, worrying Peeta. Katniss had that familiar, much too familiar, confused look on her face. Peeta was scared that she would say 'no'.

Say you will

Say you will

Together can never be close enough for me

To feel like I'm close enough to you

You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you

And you're beautiful

Katniss finally found her voice. "Yes," The first time it came out as a whisper, barely audible. "Yes," She finally said louder. Peeta slipped the ring on her finger, and hugged her. "Yes," Katniss kept murmuring happily. Peeta was delighted, yet there was something insuring about the way she was saying it. Like she was trying to convince herself more than him.

Now that the wait is over

And love has finally showed her my way

Marry Me

Today and every day

Marry Me

If I ever get the nerve to say hello in the café

Say you will

Say you will

Katniss looked into Peeta's eyes. Peeta was confused. "Katniss…" He said slowly.

"I do." She said.

"Promise me something." Peeta pleaded.

"What?" Katniss asked.

Promise me you'll always be

Happy by my side

I promise to sing to you

When all the music dies

And Marry Me

Today and every day

Marry me

If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this café

Say you will

Say you will

Marry me

"I promise." Katniss told him.
