You were just a boy
With a cherished brother
And a loving mother.
But it was all snatched away from you.
Under the night sky, everything would change.
You saw it yourself.
Her heart was pierced.
She was gone,
Your heart was scarred.
Childhood innocence lost in an instant.
You don't have to hear the lies.
No, "angels took her away".
No, "she went to sleep".
You saw it yourself.
An innocent boy lost.
Your brother thought of revenge
And he left to fight the monster.
He left you.
He went "missing".
You were left alone, just a boy.
Your dog was your faithful companion
But your father was always looking.
Looking for your brother.
Leaving you alone.
You were forcibly bathed in solitude, others refused to speak with you.
And that was it. Alone.
No more Hinawa,
No more Claus,
No more Lucas.
Alone. A lost soul. A silent boy. That's you.
I know it looks like there are a lot of grammar mistakes, but it's a poem so it's supposed to be that way. I came up with this idea when I read, "I, Remember, I Remember" by Thomas Wood (I believe that was his name). It wasn't really the poem itself that gave me inspiration (though it is an amazing poem), it was the discussion my class had about it. The points I was inspired by were lost childhood innocence and what you tell little kids when someone dies. I read that poem and wrote this poem in the same day. I'm not bragging. I'm just pretty good at poetry. Unlike twenty-five other people in my class.
