Hi. Just an FYI, I am very much aware that this is bad and very cringe-y. I wrote it in ten minutes. Also: yes, the ending is cheesy. Oops -Jen Disclaimer: I own nothing you may recognize. Everything belongs to its respectful owners.

Kaori intertwined her and Kousei's fingers with a smile as they followed the real estate agent through the house that would soon be theirs. Once they'd toured the house, the agent led them to the main room and flashed a smile.
"So, what do you think?" He asked, gesturing.
"We'll take it," They said, in unison. The house was beautiful and perfect for what they planned to accomplish together. However, anxiety still managed to seep its way into Kousei's mind; he'd been planning to propose to Kaori for months now, but the opportunity never arose.
"Awesome! You'll need to sign some papers before I hand you the deed, though." The agent handed them a small packet of documents and pen, indicating where to sign. In a matter of seconds, that was finished and Kousei reached into his pocket to get his wallet.
"Oh, no," He said, rather quickly. "You don't have to pay 'til March." It was currently December.
"Oh," Kousei replied, chuckling. Kaori's grip on his hand tightened and he turned his head to look at her. She grinned in response, looking positively ecstatic. Knowing her personality, she was probably having an internal dance party. She'd always been like that; bright, happy, full of life.
"Well, here's the deed to the property. I'll be going now." The couple followed him to the the door and gave their thanks and goodbyes. When he left, Kaori turned to Kousei.
"I love you," She said, pulling him into a hug. They embraced for a second, then broke apart. Kousei reached into his pocket as Kaori was looking around the room.
"Kaori," He said, getting her attention. He was kneeling before her, grinning despite his rampant heartbeat and anxiety coursing through him. Kousei was nervous; perhaps he'd say something wrong, or stutter. Maybe she wouldn't even say anything. Maybe she'd turn her back on him and ditch him for hihs best friend.
"Don't tell me-"
"I love you, Kaori Miyazono. We've been through a lot together and I wouldn't trade it for the world. When we met, you turned my whole life upside down. You mean so much to me. This whole rollercoaster has been a bit scary, especially what happened just now. Will you marry me?" Kaori didn't answer for a second; she seemed a little taken aback; scared, even. She wiped her tears and knelt beside him.
"Yes." Their lips met in a passionate kiss. When they broke apart, Kousei put the ring on Kaori's finger. She held it up to the light to see it better and grinned.
"It's beautiful! Thank you."
"Like you, my love. Like you."
