Dry Bowser and Petey Piranha were playing a game of pong on a table inside Dry Bowser's molten home within the Grumble Volcano, with the television having a game of virtual pong paused.
"Hey Petey, you don't seem to be playing as much sports as before," Dry Bowser stated as he smacked the white pong ball with his wooden paddle. "Any reason why?"
Petey just mumbled in response as he used his green leaf as a paddle, smacking the pong back as Dry Bowser smacked it so hard, it began bouncing across The Room. The two heavyweight characters watched as the ball of pong went right through the television set, breaking the TV as Dry Bowser sighed, realizing that he would have to replace it. What he didn't anticipated was that the pong ball suddenly became huge, causing the skeletal reptile to take a step back.
"Finally... I'm free!" The enormous pong ball exclaimed as it faced Dry Bowser and Petey. "Now I'll show you how it feels to be smacked!"
Petey watched as Dry Bowser was broken up into pieces by the pong ball rolling over him, with it targeting the mutated piranha plant next. Petey tried to halt it by spewing brown goop at it, but it seemed to have no effect on the pong ball as it rolled over Petey as well, flattening both of the heavy beasts as it then began rolling all over the place, wrecking Dry Bowser's volcanic home as the two popped up back to normal, realizing what they must do.
