Alphonse and Edward where about to leave central HQ for the last time. Al was going to the east and Ed was going west to learn different types of alchemy. "I guess…this is goodbye brother... for now." Alphonse said with a sad smile. "Ya' … I'll see you around" Ed replied as he gave his little brother a hug. They separated as al's train came in. Alphonse gave one last smile "bye nii-san" he said getting on the train. Ed started to wave as al's train pulled away. When the train was out of sight Ed was left feeling empty. He sighed and turned to see the colonel standing there with his hands in his pockets and a smile on his face. "Hello... Full metal… or maybe I should be saying goodbye." He said walking up to the now grown alchemist "yea…" was all Ed could manage to saw. Roy walked closer to Ed until they where only inches apart. Ed felt himself blush as he broke eye contact with his superior. Roy chuckled as he saw a dash of red dance across the boys face. "So I don't get a hug?" Roy asked as Ed's train pulled in. for a minute Ed went wide eyed and quickly wrapped his hands around the colonel and squeezed. Mustang held the boy for a minute then looked down at him "you'd better catch your train…ed" he said smiling warmly Ed pulled away and nodded. He grabbed his suitcase and got on the train. Once on he looked thought the window at the colonel and waved. The colonel waved back and mouthed the word 'bye' as the train pulled away. When the train left the colonel turned and walked to his office still with the smile on his face. As he walked he let one or two tears escape before wiping them away and thinking 'take care…full metal'
