A day to remember.

A cold crisp wind cuts through me, as storm clouds rumble above me. But I just stood in this shrine of heroes past and present, among the heroes of our time.
"How ironic that a day that I celebrate is also a day I mourn." I said as I reached for a small sliver case.
"But I will always remember what you taught me." I said as I opened the case and took out a white lily with a slight red tint at the tips of the petals.
"Of the faith to believe in what I thought was right. Also the hope for a better tomorrow and kindness of heart." I Finished as I put the lily next to the pillar on the left of me, and then I pulled out a sapphire cactus flower.
"Or of the courage to stand in the face of danger with no fear, of the power to fight injustice, and the loyalty to stand by my friends." I said as I placed that flower next to pillar on the right of me. Finally I pulled I took out the last thing out of the case a red rose.
"Nor the wisdom or bravery one must have to carry on. Or of the selflessness one must have for the good of all." I finished at last as I place the flower on the pillar in front of me; another cold wind blew around me crunching leaves while the storm clouds grew and rumbled the smell of rain thick in the air.
"But I wonder would, you be proud of me? Of the choices I've made, the path I choice or the friends I've made?" I asked.
"I think they would be very proud of you Montblanc. Said the kind viera voice that I'd grow to love.
"Thanks Shara." I replied.
"Now come on, I don't think they would what you to stay her all day for your birthday." Shara said in a somber voice as she took my hand.
"Ok." I replied as we started off. Taking one final look back I saw a light glow off the three pillars.
"Bye Mom, Bye dad, Goodbye my old master. I swear one day I'll fine who did this to you and avenge you. I whispered as I walk over the hill of the cemetery with my wife Shara.
"My name is Montblanc and this is a day I will always remember. For today is my birthday but also the day I lost some of the things that meant most to me. This is my story." I said at last.
