"Why have you been avoiding me?" asked Inuyasha.
Kagome stared at him. He'd cornered her by the Go-shinboku after dinner. Her back was up against the tree and he was about two or three feet in front of her.
"I-I haven't bee avoiding you..not one bit.." she replied in a stuttering voice.
"THAT'S BULL SHIT and YOU KNOW IT!!" he thundered.
"I-I..."
"You..?"
"I....never mind!" she yelled and tried to make a run for it, hoping that she'd get away.
No such luck. Inuyasha spun around and grabbed her around the waist.
"I'm not letting go 'till ya tell me what's wrong,"he whispered in her ear, sending tingles down her spine."
**Oh sure** she thought **like I can tell him that I'm avoiding him because he loves some hell born psycho bitch who just happens to be my dead incarnation and he totally ignores me. Ya. Uh-huh. Suuuuuure.**
"It's nothing..really! I wasn't even aware that I was avoiding you..ehehe..?"
"You're a shitty liar, Kagome."
"I really didn't..I don't wanna talk abou-" Inuyasha cut her off.
"Don't give me that crap! Tell me or I'm not letting go!" He spun her around so that they were nose to nose. Kagome averted he eyes. "Look at me. God damnit!" He lifted he face so that she was looking into his eyes. Eyes that she couldn't say no to.
"I-It's just..you're always comparing me to that dead psycho bitch, you always yell at me, you insult me every five seconds, every other word out of your mouth is either Shikon no Tama, feh, or Kikyo.."
As she rambled on Inuyasha stared at her with wide eyes. **This is what she thinks.? Is this really how I am to her?! I've been such a blind asshole!**
"..And most of all," she continued through sobs,"You love Kikyo so I'll never know what it's like to have you love me!" Kagome leaned into his chest, sobbing loudly.
Inuyasha's eyes widened. **She said she loves me..a worthless hanyou who treats her worse than horse shit.**
Inuyasha swept her up into a fierce hug. "Kagome.." he breathed, "I have an obligation, a debt to Kiyko..but I don't care for her in..that way. She's dead, cold, and only feels hatred. Towards me and everyone else."
Kagome was shocked. **Is he implying what I think he is..?!**
"If I were to say anyone holds my heart," he said hesitantly, as if afraid,"I'd say it was you."
Inuyasha swept Kagome up into a sweet yet passionate kiss that held many promises. Promises of happyness, love, eternity, and a long life together.
Well, how was that? Sweet enough for ya? Waffy enough for ya? If I get about 20 or 30 reviews I may write a sequel.
