The Clown, The Trick, The Pain

Beverly sat in here room only. It was quiet in there house, deadly silent.
The only noise came from the occasion car going by, or the rouge kid running from something that
wasn't there. She felt felt out. Bill had called everyone together, but he forgot to phone her.
A tiny tear, almost not there, rolled down her cheek and halted at her chin. Where another tear
followed and together they fell to her lap. She grabbed a tissue from beside her bed and wiped
away the tears.

"I always thought that Bill liked me" Bev said barrying her face in the tissue. Just
then she could hear the group walking by. Maybe she could go outside and then they would invite
her too! Ya, that would work. So she got up and ran to the front door, she opened it slowly and
walked out.

"Hi guys" She yelled to them.

"Hey Bev" Ritchie called back.

"Hi" Bill called, and he smiled at her.

"We were just going to the Barrens, you wanna come?" Eddie asked. He had the biggest
crush on Bev. But he was an expert on hiding it.

I tiny smile appeared in the corner of Bev's mouth. "Sure" she replied and ran to catch
up with the group. Bev knew that Ben had a crush on her, but she didn't know what to do about
it. He always acted the same as he would when they were in a group. But when him and Bev were
alone, he always acted... well...sweet.

"Hi Bev" he said, smiling at her. Instead of replying, she just smiled back.

"So why are we going to the Barrens?" Bev asked.

"No reason at all" Bill said. Bev thought, ' well that's strange... and I guess Bill's
studder is getting better'.

They all walked pretty quiet all the way there. It was very unusual for them, usually
they'd laugh at something that happened at school, or a movie they saw, or an old joke that no
one really rememebers the punch line to. That's when they arrived at the Barrens.

"Well...so...we just going to sit here?" Bev asked.

"Nope" Eddie replied. Bev could swear that his voice sounded different.

"Well then what are we going to do?" Bev questioned, she was really wanting to know what
they were doing, she didn't wanna just sit there.

"Let us show you" Stan said... strange, his voice sounded different too.

Bev looked confused.

"Close your eyes" Mike said, this was creepy, there voices didn't sound the same at
all.... hey, maybe puberty was kicking in. Bev laughed at that thought. But she closed her eyes
and sat there patiently.

"Okay, open them" said a voice she did not reconize.

But she opened her eyes and found herself face to face with a clown. A hideous thing
with long twisted teeth and a the foul smell of death just poured off of it.

The clown laughed as he moved closer to Bev. She was frozen with fear.

Finally the clown was right infront of her......

* * *

"Has anyone seen Bev?" Ben asked. The next morning they had all been trying to find her.
They called her house, actually went over there and rang the doorbell. They had even gone to her
favorite places to hid from her dad when he got angry.

"Nope, I couldn't find her" Stan said, wondering where she was.

"Same here" The rest of them said in unison.

"Well, w...w...where could sh...sh...she be?" Bill asked.

They all slumped infront of a TV store wall. Just as the TVs were all turning on in the
morning. The news was on.

"And yet another killing has occured" Said the reporter on the tv.

The group looked up and and the screen.

"Young Beverly Marsh had been found brutally killed yesterday down in the Barrens. Her
body was dicovered by a fisherman around midnight last night"

THE END!!!!!
