Red. Glinting in the moonlight. It gushed like a river - from my own body. I coughed up more blood as the girl before me twisted the blade deeper into my chest. Her eyes shone with a crazed madness. She started laughing which turned to maniacal cackling as she rose to her feet with triumph.
So this is how it ends… I thought So much for becoming harem king... I'm going to die with my virginity... I doubt I'll get a third chance at life.
I realized the crazy girl had taken off. When she left I don't know; my consciousness was slowly fading. Around me a commotion had started: somewhere I heard Akeno scream my name. Asia was sobbing uncontrollably. I could hear Koneko and Kiba searching in vain for my attacker. And then she was there, her face hovering over mine. Her beautiful red hair spilled over her shoulders, brushing my cheek. My face was wet with tears - her tears, I realized. Rias was crying. She was speaking to me but her voice sounded too distant for me to make out. Someone had made Rias sad. Someone had made her cry. I felt rage boil inside me.
Whoever had made Rias cry.. I will make them pay. I tried to reach out to touch Rias's cheek and tell her it'd all be ok but my body refused to move. Rias's face twisted with anguish as she realized I had reached my final moment.
I choked out my last word, "...Rias…"
