The Important Question

One Shot

The Montez lounge was a dark cinema setting. The floor lights flittered sending there lights across the room. A pizza was waiting on the coffee table. Pale pink and red rose petals were scattered across the floor. A small black velvet jewellery box was laid on a red rose petal on a small side table. It held the rest of Gabriella and Troy's lives, it held a 14k yellow gold engagement ring a diamond adjourned the centre and there were 5 more diamonds that were placed along the curve of the ring.

Gabriella was completely unaware of what Troy had planned as they strolled towards the Montez house.

"So what've you got planned?" asked Gabriella

"That's for me to know and you to find out," whispered Troy

"Troy you know I hate surprise," giggled Gabriella

"Trust me your going to love this one," said Troy leading her into her dark house.

"It's dark," muttered Gabriella slipping her shoes off.

"It's meant to be," said Troy

As she moved further down the hall, Gabriella could just make out little lights flickering in the lounge and as she got to the entrance of the room. She was in awe at the sight in front of her. Her eyes darted everywhere drinking everything in until they finally rested on the little black box.

She turned round to look for Troy and turned back to find him box in hand on one knee in front of her.

"There is no simple way to say this then I love you so much. I want to love you forever if you'll have me. So my beautiful Brie will you do the honour of becoming my wife?" asked Troy

With tears streaming down her face, Gabriella nodded.

"Yes I would love too," she whispered

Troy rose to his feet and slid the ring on the finger it would stay on for life before lowering his head to kiss his now fiancée.

They celebrated into the night by cuddling on the sofa and watching snappy rom coms.
