A/N: Here! I changed some things. People were complaining about how I used too many Japanese words so I won't do that anymore. And the names? Get over it! Riley happens to be one of my best friends names and I have a cousin named Jamie! They're American names because this girl and her brother transferred from America to Japan for reasons you will later find out. (Christine and Ivan are from England.) I know there aren't any of the Yu-Gi-Oh characters in this chapter, because I'm using this one as introduction chapter to my OC and her family. Trust me from now on after this chapter the Yu-Gi-Oh characters shall be in the story. Okay? There hopefully this little Author's Note shall explain some things.
Chapter 1: Early Morning Wake Up"Riley! Riley wake up!" my brother yelled. His annoying and futile attempts to wake me mixed with the blaring of my alarm clock. With my face still buried within the confines of my pillow I grabbed the clock with my left hand and through it across the room, mere seconds later it met the wall with a harsh smack. "Riley! If you broke that clock you're dead meat young one!" Jamie yelled.
"Gomen nasai!" I replied smugly. He sighed knowing it was broken.
"I'll have Ivan come and clean it up." At that I rolled off of my bed and ended up saying 'hello' to the hard wooden floor below me. Then and there is when my oh so very colorful vocabulary hyped up.
"Damn! That hurt!" On and on I went until my bedroom door opened. I looked up to see our butler, Ivan. Ivan only stared at me long and hard.
"Miss Everette, might I ask why you have such a vocabulary this morning?" He asked politely.
"I fell off my bed and now my head smarts." I answered standing up. Ivan smiled and chuckled silently. "Might I ask what is so funny, Ivan?"
"It's nothing really Miss. It's just that you remind me so much of Master Jamie when he was younger. You both are so much like your parents." He said with that sweet smile most grandfathers would give to their children when they did something adorable.
"I miss Mother and Father too Ivan. At least Jamie and I have a sweet old man like you around to take care of us. We'd be lost with out you." I said. It was daily that Jamie and I both told him that. Ivan smiled and proceeded to clean up my early morning mess. "Is Christine back today, Ivan?" I asked.
"Yes, she's down in the kitchen making your breakfast Riley. She told me to tell you it's your favorite." He answered. I smiled.
"I better hurry and get dressed then shan't I?" I asked heading for my closet. I opened it up and proceeded to pick out my clothing for the day. I picked a plain white shirt, a blue jean skirt (straight not one of those with ruffles), and my white cowboy hat. I pulled on my brown boots and afterwards French braided my hair in pigtails and put on hat. Then I headed straight downstairs and into the kitchen.
"Good morning, Riley." Christine said. "Excited about going to your new school?"
"Yes and no." I said sitting beside Jamie.
"Yes and no?" He asked. "You're the one who wanted to go to public school Rye." Jamie said looking up from his papers.
"What y'all working on?" I asked looking at his papers. He pushed them away.
"None of y'all's business." He said getting in my face.
"Jerk."
"Brat."
"Christine! He's being mean again!" I yelled, pouting like a little baby. Christine hit Jamie's hand with a wooden spoon.
"Ow!" He yelled. "She started it." He said pointing to me. I stuck my tongue out at him.
"I'm leaving now." I said getting up. "Bye!" I said running out the door. Now onto my first day at Domino High.
