Legolas woke up feeling groggy and disoriented. It took him a couple of minutes and a few eye rubs later to realize he wasn't in his room. He tried to get out of the bed. It took him a few more minutes to realize he wasn't even on dry land. He was a fish! Legolas frantically flipped his fins to try and swim but only succeeded in flipping over to his back. Or what he hoped was his back. He was rather new to fish anatomy.
" How I am supposed to get anywhere if I can't swim like a fish?" He mused to himself. He heard a voice call back,
" First sign of madness laddie, talking to yourself," Legolas turned around and saw a orange fish swimming towards him.
" Gimli! Is that you ?" He spoke. He put a puzzled look on his face and Gimli the fish laughed.
" Laddie, being a fish does not suit you," Gimli flicked his tail in an obnoxious way. "To get anywhere while being a fish my pointy eared elvish princeling you must learn how to swim like one. Just move your tail," Gimli demonstrated the movement. Legolas copied him.
" Why do you know how to swim like a fish?" Legolas asked. Gimli's orange face went slightly red and he started to swim away mumbling about his crazy aunt and the color puce. Legolas swam clumsily after Gimli.
" Wait! Do you know why we're here?" He asked. Gimli turned around.
" Why do you ask?" Gimli answered.
" Because I didn't start my life as a fish!" He practically screamed. If he was an human or even his old elven self he would have turned a rather lovely shade of purple. As he is we can be assured he was very angry. Gimli remained quiet. Legolas moved his tail in what he thought was a threatening manner.( It turns out he just looked stupid.)
" Do not try my patience Gimli." Gimli just floated there.
" I don't know. If I did I'd get out," He said. Legolas started to charge.
" I'll wound you!"
I don't know if fish can do any of the things I said they could. I also don't own the I'll wound you line, it belong to the flash drabble Wizard Angst by Harry Potter Puppet Pals I would like some feedback on this. If you want to flame it think and then give me some constructive critism.
