Chapter 1: Gregory

"Umm, excuse me," I turned around to face the girl. She had straight brown hair with chin length bangs. Her hair was in pigtails, and her eyes were pale green, "Could you bring me to the headmistress' office?"

"Sure," Said my best friend Josh Barnes, "Right, Gregory?" I nodded feebly at him, "Right this way, what was your name again?"

"Rebekka Fisher," she said as we started towards the stone Gargoyles that guarded the Headmistress' office.

"Nice to meet you, Rebekka. I'm Josh and this is Gregory, We're in Gryffindor. You?"

"First of all, you can call me Bekka, Second, I'm in Ravenclaw. I got sorted at my house. Professor Mcgonagal came and had me sorted." Josh raised his eyebrows.

"Is that just because you started about a month late?" I asked.

"Yeah. Are you guys in third year?" She looked slightly nervous. The gargoyles were about 2 yards away.

"Yeah! Best year ever! We have Laynie Mitchell, Christina Pierce, and, of course there's me 'n Greg!" She giggled at Josh.

We were nearly there, "Do you live in Canterbury?" I asked suddenly. She looked at me funny,

"Yeah, how'd you know?" I shrugged.

"You looked familiar. I live in Canterbury, too."

"Oh yeah," We had stopped, "I saw you and your sister at the Ice cream shop," I blushed, my mom had made me take her, "I think that was really sweet of you to help your mom."

"We're here!" Josh interrupted quickly, "I believe the password is Pumpkin Juice," The stairs appeared and she thanked us as she stood on them.

"Well, I'll catch you guys around," She said as the stairs started up. As soon as she was gone, Josh started his annual new kid thing.

"Laynie's Definitely got competition?" we heard a snort behind us.

"Competition for what?" Laynie rolled her eyes and brushed her pale blonde hair out of her face.

"Prettiest girl in School, that's what" Said Josh Nonchalantly.

"Yeah, who is it?" She rolled her blue eyes again.

"The new girl, Bekka Fisher. She's got gorgeously straight golden brown hair and pale green eyes. She's Reminiscent of Angels." Laynie grinned at us.

"What house is she in?" we grinned at her.

"Ravenclaw," we said at the same time. She grinned at us.

"Thanks, guys. I'm gonna go back to Ravenclaw tower, I'll catch you later, Josh," she turned and skipped off. I grinned knowingly at Josh' pink tinged face.
