Title: Waiting on Boromir.
By: RogueCajun
Genre: General/ Parody.
Summary: Parody of a Steve Azar song. But not a happy parody. Faramir centric.
Rating: Pg.
Disclaimer: I do not own LOTR. I do not own Steve Azar's song: 'Waitin' on Joe.'
Random Quote: "Then it is forfeit." –Faramir
A/n: Can anyone guess the significance of the numbers below? I'll tell you the answer at the end of this. Man, this was hard to write. It took me forever to get the words to fit with the tune and I cried while writing it. Maybe it's not that sad, maybe I'm just a LOTR fanatic who's obsessed with Faramir and is a sucker for sad Faramir centric tales, who knows?
Well, to make a long story short.
Random reader: Too late.
Enjoy the result of my sweat and tears!

We're supposed to guard Osgiliath from the Orcs of Mordor
But Father sent Boromir on a mission to Rivendell
Now he's counting on me to keep out borders clean
One weak link could cause our defenses to fall
Since our lead has up and gone.
I'm waiting on Boromir to return from Rivendell
Because he's the warrior that I will never be
And there's no way I can lead these men alone
But at Father's request I'll guard the shores of Gondor
And wait on Boromir.
The men are leaving for Osgiliath to set up camp and establish a perimeter
If that Orc horn blows then the orc's blood will flow
If only I could be more like my brother I could make father proud
But I'm not like that.
And so I'm waiting on Boromir to return from Rivendell
Because he's the warrior that I will never be
And there's no way I can lead these men alone
But at Father's request I'll guard the shores of Gondor
And wait on Boromir.
And he joined a Fellowship
To help destroy the one ring
I'm not one to worry but I've got a real bad feeling this time
'Cause I found his horn in the Anduin.
And the Halfling said that he didn't fall in vain
He tried to beat Saruman's Uruk-Hai
My life will never be the same
I didn't even tell my brother goodbye
And I wish somehow he could send me a sign.
I'm waiting on Boromir to return from Rivendell
Because he's the warrior that I will never be
And there's no way I can lead these men alone
But at Father's request I'll guard the shores of Gondor
And wait on Boromir.

A/n: So? What do you think?
About the numbers,
3 rings for Elven Kings.
7 for the Dwarflords.
9 for mortal men.
1 for the Dark Lord.
And thus we get my divider number. 3791.
Please Review. It would be most appreciated.
