"You just have to believe in yourself the way I do!"
Cassie smiled as a feeling of warmth flowed through her. The same kind of warmth she felt whenever she was with Sage, the kind that made her feel so unbelievably happy in her presence just for being there.
But that was nothing really. Just the kind of feeling you get from a really good friend, right? She could even feel herself glowing.
"Now come here!" Sagesaid, rushing over to the telescope.
"You see that?" she asked as Cassie put her eye against the lens.Cassie looked at the blue and green ball through the telescope. "That's Wishworld. And that's where we are gonna make dreams come true!"
Cassie felt another surge of happiness listening to Sage. She was so excited, so passionate, it was a wonder she had yet to find a boyfriend. Who could resist such passion, such drive, such generosity?
"Oh my stars! That really is Wishworld" Cassie said, before looking at Sage and feeling the power of a thousand butterflies flapping in her stomach. Probably something she ate disagreeing with her. The way the stars lit up her friend's hair and the way it glittered in the light was amazing and made her look heart achingly beautiful.
"Now that's a dream come true, isn't it?" Sage said with a smile and Cassie pulled away from the telescope.
"Actually," she replied as she moved away. "surely, my dream come true is you Sage," the butterflies in Cassie's stomach flapped their wings in approval as one and for a moment Cassie felt an inexplicable urge to kiss her friend. She really needed to see a healer about these strange urges around her friend Sage.
"What!? Me!?" Sage asked in surprise, pulling back slightly and Cassie looked firmly at her friend. (And she stressed this to her brain. FRIEND. And friends don't want to kiss one another like that.)
"Yeah. Because you're my friend!" Cassie said and Sage's face made the most adorable expression.
"Aww!" she replied, bringing her hands in a v shape upwards and the two girls embraced one another into a welcoming hug. (A FRIENDLY hug, Cassie reminded herself. She just wanted to hug her FRIEND. Not someone she wanted to kiss. Not someone she loved as more than just a friend. The butterflies in her stomach however begged to differ. She really should get that seen to.)
