When Choji was three, at a regular Ino-Shika-Cho gathering, he made off with a flower petal from Ino's hair and, with all the due ceremony of one in love with the potato chip, ate it. While Ino wailed and Choza apologized, Inoichi was desperately trying to recover the oleander petal that he had unthinkingly supplied the toddler with. Shikaku laughed uproariously and didn't stop until Shikamaru was discovered taking a short nap in the warm oven.
