Hello there! This is my first Lewis fanfiction, so please be kind. This is just a little oneshot that wouldn't leave me alone….

The sun had set long ago. Only a faint glow of moonlight made its way into the empty office. Well, almost empty. The solitary sergeant, Mr. James Hathaway himself, was feverishly working away. His inspector had blearily wandered out of the office hours previously, the toll of their current case too much for the older man. He had told James to go home and "get some bloody rest already." Hathaway had nodded his head slightly and dove back into his notes.

James had been reviewing these notes for the better part of the evening. He was searching for that key component of the case. That one piece of evidence that would allow justice to be served and allow him to get some sleep. But for now, he was searching quite intently. He had to put all other thoughts out of his mind and focus. Hathaway rubbed wearily at his eyes and threw himself back into his work. This was going to be a long night.

Thoughts? Review and let me know :)
