Now my friends are dead and gone.
Will looked over the surrounding landscape and sighed. Another mission was now over and he had lost too many people.
Nearly every friend he had found had been murdered by the same group of people he had been sent to get rid of. And he was the only person to blame for it.
It isn't the easy life of a farmer, Will thought sarcastically and the tears that he had held back finally poured down his face.
Right in time to get back home.
As he wasn't paying full attention, Will stumbled up the stairs in a similar way that Gil had every time.
'Is that you Gil?' Halt's voice asked through the door.
'I wasn't expecting him,' Alyss replied and Will sighed yet again. Now there were more people to see his tears.
The door opened to Halt hold up a saxe, which was put down when he saw Will.
'Are you alright?' he asked.
'Mission didn't go as I had wanted it to,' Will replied and Halt understood.
'Come in and tell us. Have you done the written report?'
Will nodded.
'Tell me what happened and I will tell Crowley,' Halt said and pulled his son inside to where Alyss had already gotten a cup of coffee out.
'Will!' she said and came over to embrace her husband. She stopped right before she did. 'What's wrong?' she asked.
'Everything and nothing,' Will replied and then walked over to a chair and collapsed into it.
'Tell me,' she ordered and then pushed him over slightly so that she could sit.
'Everyone died.'
I am offering my normal Christmas thing...

Time starts from now until Christmas is over (Which includes the twelve days after) :)
