Why are you so different to Father, Mother?
I can see it in your shape and size
But mostly in your eyes
You it's say because God wanted you that way Mother
I was playing with my friends Mother
Little Nel sobbed because she couldn't play
Because her legs were in such a bad way
Did God want her like that Mother?
I told Nel it was because of God Mother
So she sobbed and her old man came
Her tears were my blame
God is confusing to me Mother
You want me to believe Mother
And I really do try
But why did little Nel have to die?
My chest hurts Mother
You tell me God needed her with him Mother
But thats even harder to understand
So she had to go because of his demand?
That seems pretty selfish, taking her away Mother
Why do you frown like that Mother?
And say that I should show respect
To someone who squashed my friend like an incest
But for you I will try and learn why Mother
I understand Mother
God can't watch all of us each day
Maybe he was sad when Nel passed away
I know he's not bad Mother
And one day Mother
When I can make God proud
I can sit with Nel again
Floating with her on a cloud
