A Million Miles Away
She stood at the water's edge. She had stood there for most of the day. Her green eyes were fixated on the very edge of the sea, wishing she was anywhere but here.
"Rose?" A voice called to her as the sound of sand sifting under the air from his hover shoes grew louder.
"Oh, hi Shadow." She nodded at the sound of his voice.
"What are you staring so intently at the ocean?" He asked as he looked for something interesting. All he saw was softly moving salt water.
"I'm just thinking."
"May I ask what about?"
"What it would be like t just… get away."
"Ah… A million miles away or so?"
"Yep." Amy nodded.
"So, what's stopping you?" Shadow folded his arms over his chest. He had also thought of going a million miles or light years away before.
All she could do was shrug. She wasn't sure what was stopping her. "I might just go right now. You want to come sail the sea with me?" She turned to him and smiled.
"Sure. I'll man the sails and you can steer." He walked beside her as they went to the dock.
The idea of going a million miles away or so until they found home seemed like a good idea to the both of them.

Krissie: I wrote this originally on August 5th, but I got into a car accident that night and wasn't able to type it up. I recently found it in my notebook and decided to type it up. So enjoy it!
