note: hi! so this is a very short chapter, with that being said, it's only the introduction. the rest won't be this short, promise. hope you like it.

It began with only a humble kind of silence that the two knew wouldn't last a long—

"You are such a prick!"

"It isn't my fault your cooking is terrible!"

—time. Peace was always erupted by them, especially with Aang gone trying to relocate safe spots and offer reluctant trades to sideline towns within the nation. Practically abandoned for Agni-knows-how-long on the outskirts of the Earth Kingdom where the Avatar had proclaimed as an incognito safe haven, Toph and Sokka suffered with the incessant bickering of their fellow waterbender and her unfortunate match, the prince of fire, himself.

And it continued, but they attempted to drown it out when they entered a tent to get some rest.

"Tu and La forbid these two to actually learn to cooperate!" Sokka whined, rolling his eyes and stuffing his face with berries they were supposed to be saving.

Black locks drenched on her sleeping bag as she lay back and molded a metal crowbar dully, Toph cackled. "What is with them, anyway? Forgiven or not, they're always fighting."

"It's like they're still not used to being around each other, and it's been like years."

"More like a month, dipwad."

A few seconds passed, background arguing constant, when Toph shot up with her signature grin and a typical Sokka who was watching her with a sly smile and his hand on his chin.

"I have an idea," she stated, shifting the element in her hands to two identical shapes that would perfectly encircle the wrists of two very stubborn, arrogant, benders.

notes2: so basically this fic, i'm thinking will consist of choppy, drabbl-y chapters of the days that the pair will be handcuffed. i'm thinking around seven chapters or so. please tell me your thoughts! on this fic or if you want to comment on what you're expecting or what you want to see more of, etcetc.
