The sun light burst through my eyes and it hurt a little bit. I stood on my platform about fifty feet away from the cornucopia right in between Bellatrix and Clove- my two hated enemies. Thirty seconds now, I looked at Katniss and Ron two platforms to my right and Cato right next to Clove on my left. Fifteen seconds now, I thought about Hermione having to watch her two best friends fight to the death and how horrified she was when Ron volunteered for her. Five seconds now, I closed my eyes and prayed for Dumbledore and my parents to help me. Three, two, one- the gong went off and I ran as fast as I could. Grabbing a backpack, Dean Thomas got in my way and I smacked him across his face with the bag, knocking him to the floor; little did I know, that would be the last time I saw Dean alive...
Running inside the cornucopia, I grabbed the nearest wand and pointed it at Bellatrix, "Crusio!" I screamed at her but she blocked it somehow- probably learned it from her master. Katniss came up to me and we got back to back. "Where's Weasley?" she asked shooting an arrow at Cato.
"I think he ran off into the forest." I said back to her while dueling Bellatrix. I shot a spell at Bellatrix but missed causing it to collide with the ground and explode. "Lets go!" I yelled at Katniss as we both ran into the forest.
We ran until our feet couldn't carry us anymore. The forest were thick and no water source was near us. "Come on, it's getting dark, lets get up one of these trees." Katniss said pulling out rope from her backpack.
Katniss helped me get on the tree and start climbing. The tree we climbed was tall and in about three minutes we reached the top. "Okay, we better make camp up here tonight. We'll have to move tomorrow or else the gamemakers could have some fun with us." Katniss told me while tying herself onto the branch she was sitting on.
That night, the cannons went off waking Katniss and me up. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 etc. all the way to fifteen. Fifteen tributes dead in one day, it was sad. Then, their faces came on. Dean Thomas, Lavender Brown, Parvati and Padma Patil, Pansy Parkinson, Crabbe, Goyle, Lupin, Cato, Thresh, Glimmer, Marvel, Johanna Mason, Beete, and Haymitch all dead.
