Well, for some reason I'm in a oneshot/drabble mood lately, and I'm still in Vegas, and I was bored, so I wrote this. It isn't very good, but oh well. Hope you enjoy!
"I kissed a girl and I liked it—the taste of her cherry chapstick. I kissed a girl just to try it—I hope my hope my boyfriend don't mind it. It felt so wrong, it felt so right; don't mean I'm in love tonight!"
Raito tried his best to drown out Matsuda's idiotic singing. He didn't know how L managed to never lose his temper. The team could be so infuriating.
"Matsuda," Raito finally scolded, "stop. Singing."
"Why?" asked Matsuda. "It's not bothering anyone."
"It's bothering me. Why do you think I'm telling you to stop? It's unbelievably irritating."
Pouting, Matsuda left the room to sing his annoying song elsewhere.
"I wonder what possessed the artist of that to even write a song like that," Raito grumbled.
"Perhaps it's because they kissed a girl and they liked it?" L suggested.
Raito scoffed. "I still don't see why anyone would write a song about it."
"Has Raito-kunever kissed a girl?"
"Of course I have! In fact, I've kissed many girls. It's not actually all that great. I've yet to actually have a satisfying kiss, if such a thing exists. It's all overrated."
"Has Raito-kun ever kissed someone of the same sex?"
"What the hell, Ryuzaki?"
L stared at him. "Well, the song is about a supposedly straight person kissing someone of the same gender and liking it—most likely because the person tasted of cherries. Therefore, my question is appropriate." Not to mention that little thing with the backwards spelling of your last name..
Raito sighed. "No, I haven't. But even if I did, I still doubt it would make any difference. And I certainly wouldn't go off and sing a song about it."
"Is that so?"
"Yes, it is," Raito said matter-of-factly. "And anyway, who are you to talk? You haven't even kissed someone bef—mhhmf!"
Before the teen could even register what was happening, L tilted Raito's head up with his thumb, and, for lack of better words, began kissing the hell out of him.
Raito's eyes widened beyond their normal capacity. Too stunned to move, Raito could do nothing but stick there as the usually apathetic detective locked lips with him for what seemed like forever.
When they finally broke apart, Raito wasn't sure how to react.
"Y-you just…you…I just…I…You just kissed me," he stated dumbly, a slight blush washing over his normally pale face.
"Indeed," L said. "I regret to inform Raito-kun that he does not taste like cherries. Even so, it was rather enjoyable. I've never kissed someone before. I do not feel that it is overrated." A rare smile played on L's features.
Light smiled as well despite himself himself, blush still visible on his cheeks. A short time later, he caught himself singing under his breath, "I kissed a boy, and I liked it…"
His slightly elated mood completely vanished when the rest of the task force met him with horrified expressions on their faces.
They had forgotten to shut off the video feed.
Well, one of my first attempts at writing decent romance with characters other than my own. The kissing scene wasn't very good, but I kinda like it. The funny thing is, I don't even really like the LxLight pairing. Well, tell me what you think! Review! Please! :3
