A Part of the Struggle
An innocent man denied in rights
He sits and struggles and tries to fight.
The law is against him and so is the town
The white man wanted to beat him down.
The Negros stand up for their brother
They don't go against one another.
In troubled waters, convicted by man
He felt God had a plan.
He is "the darker brother" with a "dream deferred"
His name is Tom Robinson and his voice will be heard.
