Chapter 1:The past returns
I'm Yugi and this is my story. It all started when the final duel between me and my love ended. Now, I'm not talking about the one where we decide where Yami goes, no I'm talking about the one five millennia ago. "Yugi, I have to seal myself." Yami said. The deal was that if I win he stays, but if he wins he seals himself and, ah, he won. As he said that I started to bawl my eyes out.
"Why did it have to end this way? Why can't it be me?" I screamed at him. He just stared at me and said, "It has to be this way because you're too pure to put into the Puzzle and it needs a dark soul as a sacrifice or it'll think that it's being used as a death sentence." So he seals himself and leaves me all alone. Now, back to my current predicament. You see, just like in the past, a duel between me and my one true love decides his fate, and this time if I win, then he leaves.
Imagine my surprise when I won. "Man I do not have the best luck do I?" I told my love. "Actually, you do. I, Yami Atemu Sehkmet Aknankanan, request council with Lord Ra!" Yami said. Then there was a blinding golden light, and Ra appeared in human form. "What do you wish to ask?" he said. Yami said that he wished to stay here with me and my friends. He got his wish and everything was fine for about a couple months. Then I was hated. You may sit there and say that I'm over exaggerating but I'm not. It was a normal day and at first I thought it would stay that way.
I was wrong. About three minutes after I woke up I was eating breakfast. Yami came downstairs and walked right past me. He looked at me with pure hatred, and I can tell when someone is looking at me with hate and it actually be for me. All through the day my so-called-friends decided they hate me. I sat on the roof and looked down. I have the hearing of a dragon. Something Joseph obviously forgot even though he's my brother. This is what hurts; "Hey, don't you think it's time to get rid of that twerp? I mean he is waaay too dependant on us." that's what I heard Yami say.
Okay, time to show these people that I DON'T need them. The next day they had the gall to actually come up to me and act as though they never hated me. I told them that I know what they're up to and that they do not know what they're doing. "And you know what else? When you idiots ever think of trying to get me back or you try to get back on my good side, don't. I don't need you and quite frankly, I never did." they looked completely desperate. "Oh, Yugi. We didn't mean it, honest!" Tea tried to plead with me. I told her that if they didn't mean it then why say it? They looked lost, probably because of the fact that I said that with such coldness that it could've been said by Yami, if it didn't sound so soft. So the days went by and I could feel my light killing me.
Oh, by the way, I'm what is known as a Hikari. The only brothers that hate me are Joseph, as I am now calling him,and Malik. Ryo still cares for me. He is the only one who notices. You'd expect him to drop the whole tell your friends thing, no such luck. "Look, you should least tell Yami. He's supposed to protect, and care, for you." I hate it when Ryo's right. "Alright, fine." I relent. Five minutes later finds me and my brothers at school. "Well?" Ry-Ry tells me to hurry. "Yami, there's something I'd like to tell you. Keep in mind that Ryo is making me tell you. My light is killing me." I tell my ex-lover.
