Good to Have You Back
Authors Note: I haven't written anything House for awhile, but I finally got to watch 'The Confession' and I had a million ideas afterward. This was the first. Tell me what you guys think!
As the doctors filed out of the room after drinking their martinis, Chase hung back for a moment.
"You know, I was really hoping for a sauna." Chase said to House, before stopping near the door.
"Patience, Chase. That's next on the list of construction projects." House told him as he sat down his martini glass on his tray.
"Could put it in Wilson's office to save space." Chase suggested.
"Do you really want to see Wilson in the sauna all the time? In just his towel?" House asked with a smirk.
"I actually figured you would." Chase said with a smirk the size of his bosses.
"Aw, I see what you did there!" House said pointing a finger at Chase in a sarcastic manner.
Chase shook his head and smiled. "I guess I should go find some other way to try and relax myself." Chase replied with his hand on the door handle.
"Or, now that you've chased Foreman out of the hospital, we could turn the bathroom into a sauna." House suggested with the mischief clear on his face.
"I'd hate to get you in trouble with your parole." Chase replied, but didn't open the door.
"You'll just have to take the blame." House said getting closer to Chase, so that their bodies were inches away from one another.
"I suppose I will." Chase said with a smile.
"It's good to have you back Wombat." House said putting his hand above Chase's on the door handle.
Chase took the back of House's head and pulled his face to his lips, before kissing the man deeply.
"It's good to be back." Chase said simply before standing back to let his boss open the door.
House didn't say anything as he opened the door and led the way to the hospital bathroom.
He had grown to respect the ballzy Aussie, perhaps even almost like him. It wasn't like with Cuddy, where he loved her. He didn't love Chase; he wouldn't run a car through his house if he saw him with someone else.
But he wasn't like Wilson either. He wasn't a friend that he leaned on, or took advantage of. He wasn't the kind of person he relied on when he needed a push.
But he also wasn't like any other employee he had ever had. He had always stood out as something different.
House didn't know exactly how to feel about the Aussie, but he knew that didn't really matter. Chase would never push the matter. He would kiss House when and if he deemed it appropriate, and he would never take the time to explain himself. Or at least he hadn't since he began kissing House, a mere day after he punched him.
All he knew was that Chase had waited on him when no one else had.
It was good to have him back.
