Skittery looked out across the plains of Santa Fe. Jack had brought him to Santa Fe to help him with the ranch. Skittery's heart ached as he thought of the one he loves, hoping that his lover misses him too.

Miles away in New York, Bumlets looks out of the Lodging House window. It was raining today, but the rain soothed him. The light pitter-patter against the window reminded him that winter was coming soon. He wished that Skittery was there to hold him as the rain fell. He sighed, hoping that Skittery missed him.

Skittery told Jack that night that he was leaving. He said he missed Bumlets too much to handle it anymore. He was going to buy his train ticket in the morning.

Bumlets cried in his bed, silent tears. Kid came over to comfort him through his tough times. Bumlets knew that Kid had a crush on him. But Bumlets accepted his comfort. He loved Skittery, and Skittery left him.

Skittery paid for his train ticket then waited for the train to arrive at the station. Once it did he got on and started his journey for New York. He arrived in New York station. Once off the train, he looked around the familiar surroundings. He walked the 5 miles from the train station to the Lodging house. He looked up at the Lodging house, wondering if he should really go in. He made up his mind to go in after looking at the old building for 5 minutes. Kloppman welcomed him back with a shocked face. All Skittery did was smile and headed up the stairs. Once he entered the bunk room, he looked around for any signs of life. He remained quiet for a few moments to here light sobs coming from Bumlets' bunk. He headed over there to see Bumlets crying into his pillow. Skittery sat beside him, which startled him. Bumlets looked at him for a few moments then held him in a tight hug.
"Skitts, youse back." He mumbled from Skittery's chest. Skittery kissed the top of his head and hugged him back.
"Yeah, I'se back and I'se stayin' for good." Skittery whispered back. Bumlets looked up to Skittery and locked each other in a passionate kiss.
