She clutched the bracelet to her chest and fell to the floor giggling in a way only she could. He came back. She knew he would, "..I knew he'd come back! Oh, I lo--..", almost accidentally voicing a thought, she giggled some more.

"Oh, really..?", Amelia looked up to see an evil look only Lina could come up with, a look of endless evil thoughts and ambitions, which would only benefit herself .. and was now looking at her through the open door.

"You didn't hear me say that....did you..?", her eyes growing wider, she grabbed her frilly blue princess dress with worry.

"No...I didn't hear it..", the evil look quickly replaced by one that only meant she was going to blackmail or swindle all she could, "...for a price!"

"Miss Lina, that is purely evil!", Amelia cried, "You wouldn't!"

"....I wouldn't?"

"Alright! You would!", knowing fully well Lina would do anything, she posed the question, "...what do you want from me..?"

"Now you're speaking Lina's language!", an expert at getting her way, "..well, Gourry and I were having a debate, and we couldn't make an agreement...we couldn't figure out whether Zel turned red-pink or red-purple when he's embarrassed. I personally think red-purple!"

"....this isn't good --- uh, what do you want from me..?", she stopped her first thought.

"I want to know if Zel blushes a red-pink or a red-purple colour! And I need you to find out for me!"

"...but how..?", did she really want to know?

"I don't know! That's your job! I want to know, just embarrass him or something!", Lina shouted, shaking her fist, "...because if you don't by the end of lunch..", her eyes rounded and she cackled insanely.

"Oh, dear...", she whined.

__

"What am I going to do..?", Amelia wrung her hands in her lap. 'He was sitting right there, and you did that saying -thoughts-out-loud thing again!!', she mentally scolded herself.

Silence, as everyone stared at her from their spots around the table.

"Uhh..."

"....so, how were all your travels?! We haven't spoken in a long, long time!", she laughed to herself, trying to cover how stupid she felt.

"Yes. It's been a year.", Zel spoke for the first time that lunch, "There hasn't been any luck with my cure."

"Me and Lina found some pretty cool stuff -- like the thing with the...", Gourry paused to think for a moment, "...stuff!"

"Idiot."

"That wasn't very nice, Miss Lina..", Amelia had to do something, lunch was only so long with Miss Lina and Mr. Gourry, and the glances from Lina were indicating her patients were flying away with each passing second!

She had to think of something, something that would make him blush, but wouldn't be too mean, just enough to..y'know...get him to turn red-pink, red-purple ..or something..

The conversation about 'the things' and 'stuff' continued as Amelia withdrew further and further into her thoughts.

'But you can't do this to Mr. Zelgadis!', her thoughts yelled at her, 'He's your friend! Friends don't intentionally make friends turn colours! Well, if you aren't going to embarrass him, at least tell him how you feel yourself! Don't let Miss Lina do it!'

That last thought made sense.

"Mr. Zelgadis..?", she started.

Lina and Gourry leaned forward in their chairs.

"Yes, Amelia?", he answered, not really paying attention.

"I think that I...", she stopped for a moment, gathering all her courage, "...I-think-I've-got-feelings-for-you-that-aren't-just-friendship!", she blurted out on one breathe.

"Uhh, I ..... ugh..", Zel studdered to find something to say, but instead, fell to the floor with a thud. He had blacked out.

"Well, what do ya know! Red-purple! I win!", Lina shouted.
