I need somewhere I can go and cry and before her water filled eyes 2 doors appeared leading the way toward a new room she had only read about. The room was filled with stuff that people have left throughout the years. But in all its glory the tears started flowing and she parked herself behind a pillar of forgotten things not too far from the entrance. Sobs broke through her lips but she didn't care better get it over with now alone than give them the satisfaction. Not long after she had started crying a voice had called out, "Who's there?"
She didn't hear the door open but the call was being made from the direction of where she had entered.
"Who wants to know?" she said instinctively raising her wand before stepping out to face the voice. It was Draco Malfoy, pale faced and dead eyes. He too had his wand raised, but she lowered hers. She wasn't going to fire at her fellow Slytherin for no reason and was glad to see him lower his weapon following her lead. "I'll leave," she said wiping her face dry of sticky tears.
She made her way to the door but as she passed him she heard a tweet coming from him. He guiltily opened his hand and revealed a small yellow canary. She said nothing for a while and said, "The bird of paradise alights only upon the hand that does not grasp."
"You know paradise?" She let out a small smile but instantly regretted it because the movement somehow allowed for tears to reform. Seeing her tears he felt obligated to say something, "I know what it's like to be marked by your demons," with that they both ended the trance and went their separate ways, her to leave her sanctuary and him to destroy his.
