This is an AU of Bridge to Terabithia. DON'T hate me if you don't like any parts 'cause this is what i would have preferred to happen. Please review with any criticism though. The first chapter is probably the only chapter that is gonna have parts of the book in it. All characters do no not belong to me.
He screamed something without words and flung the papers and paints into the dirty brown water. The paints floated on top, riding the current like a boat, but the papers swirled about, soaking in the muddy water, being sucked down, around, and down. He watched them all disappear. As Jess walked away a deep rumbling came from within Terabithia. "My plan is working exactly as I expected." the deep voice rumbled though Jess didn't know it.
Five years later Jesse Oliver Aarons has still never returned to Terabithia. Ever since that horrible day he has been becoming more depressed and less imaginative each day. Everyone in school ignores him still and his parents barely acknowledge his existence. He stopped his art which really really upset Miss Edmunds.

The sun was shining in my eyes, it was so bright and started to burn. The cool grass against my feet felt good as I ran toward the creek. I stopped at the creek as I reached to grab Leslie's hand so I wouldn't slide in, but she wasn't there. It got dark quickly and I heard her voice, "Jess! Why did you leave me?" it pleaded. Then a deep laugh resonated from the woods.
I sat up as my eyes opened. 'Just another nightmare,' I thought as I shook my head like a wet dog. I looked over towards May Belle who was still fast asleep then got up quietly and started to get dressed. 'I wonder why I'm having these nightmares?' I thought to myself as I quietly exited the house. A while ago I would have been running so I could be the fastest kid but he didn't think he deserved that title because I always knew there would be one person who was faster than me.
I reached into my pocket and felt something inside it. It slowly came out of my pocket and I saw it was a picture of Leslie. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I stared at the picture. 'She was my silver lining in the dark clouds, and the only ray of light to break through them. Now the lining is gone and the clouds are more darker than ever.' I thought as I sub-consciously walked towards the creek. By the time I noticed it I was already across the bridge. I couldn't stop walking forward and suddenly I was at the grove of pines. The wreath was still laying there but there was an odd shape by it too. As I walked closer to it I saw that it resembled Leslie... only it looked like an older version of who he remembered.
