A/N This is the result of some boredom during a Japanese lesson.
Galinda walked in with a smug look on her face.
"Ohayou!" She spoke in her perky Upland voice.
"Huh…" Fiyero stared dumbly in her direction.
"I've been learning Japanese!" The blonde seemed proud of herself. Elphaba, who knew plenty of languages herself, wanted to hear some.
"I've already spoken some! When I walked in I said, 'Ohayou'!"
"I know but, say something else."
"Umm…" And she blurted out some random noises.
Fiyero looked impressed, "Where did you learn that?" Happy that she'd fooled someone, Galinda pulled an old cassette tape from her bag.
"I've been listening to this! It has all sorts of words on it!"
"Such as…?" Elphaba clearly wasn't impressed.
"Such as…" Galinda thought for a moment. "Ohayou," was all that came out. They sat in an awkward silence for exactly 3.6829 seconds before Galinda perked up.
"Why don't you speak some Japanese, Elphie?" The green girl stood up.
"Ikimashou," and as she walked out the door, "Sayonara." Galinda and Fiyero looked at each other, dumbfounded.
"Huh?"
