A/N: Okay, so I had this dream the other night and I've decided to make it into a story. It's kinda different. Please comment!

I looked out the window of my house. My werewolf friends were outside playing in the snow. Tackling and playfully biting each other, snow flying in all directions. Safaria, the newest member of their pack, lay in the snow, rolling around.

Oh, how I wish to be with them. Like them, I told myself, a great pang rising in my chest.

"Wanna join us?" Safaria mouthed to me, appearing in human form.

I shook my head. I couldn't figure out why they could turn her and not me. Well, I had a hint of an idea: it was because Seth was madly in love with her. She'd begged him for at least five months and, finally, he had given in. I'd asked Jared and Jake plenty of times. They always said no. Said it would change me forever. I didn't care; I wanted to be like them.

I decided to go outside. Quill met me on the porch. The cold morning air was beginning to warm up.

"So, would mind changing me? I mean, Jake would be furious but I'd be a great help to you guys. Please?" I begged him, placing a hand on his bare chest. Warmth radiated from his body.

"I guess I can. I can feel something evil brewing. We'll need every person we can muster. Come," he said, taking my hand. "We'll show them tonight at the council what I've made you. For now, stay out of sight."

The process was very vague. I only remember lying down on the grass then waking up, feeling new.

I stood in the kitchen, preparing lunch for everyone.

Quill came rushing inside.

"They've found us: Victoria and James! They're out to get us. We need to leave, now," Quill said out of breath.

I obediently hurried outside.

Two shadows in the distance came nearer and nearer.

"C'mon!" Quill told me, running toward the woods. Jared and I followed behind. Jake and the others were running in the opposite direction. We came upon a swampy area with tons of fallen trees. I jumped onto a floating log.

"Help me!" Jared yelled, falling into a quick sand hole. Quill and I grabbed his arms and pulled him up onto a log.

They were getting closer.

"Hurry!" I shouted. I knew it was coming.

I jumped onto dry land, now a wolf. Jared shot me a bewildered look.

I'll go this way, Jared told Quill and me. Then he bounded off.

Let's go, Quill said, barking. We ran toward a storage unit. Jumping those fences was a breeze. A field strewn with tiny trees came upon us. We hopped another fence, trying to lose Victoria and James. Let's jump that big fence, Quill told me, motioning to a thirty or more foot fence ahead of us.

We can do this, I told him, picking up speed. The fence loomed closer.

Five, four, three, two, one…

I leaped over the fence, barely missing the barbed wire on top. Then I ran thirty more yards to the pack's meeting place. I stopped, out of breath.

"Where's Quill?" Jared and Jake asked in unison.

"He was right next to me..." my voice trailed off.

"Oh my gosh! What have I done?" I buried my face in my hands.

Quill hadn't made it over the fence. Victoria and James had gotten him.

It was all my fault...
