It was the day of ruby and Georges wedding and spirits were running high. This whole situation caused more than the usual tension that lingered between William, Julia and Darcy, as William was best man and Julia was the maid of honour…
As the crowd flooded into the church two nervous men stood patiently waiting at the alter, William was the first to break the intolerable silence.
''George are you sure your ready to make this commitment I mean you've hardly got to know Miss Ogden and now this?'' whispered William
''Yes I'm quite sure, I think…. anyway were here now and I love ruby that is something I and very curtain of.'' George stated.
''Okay, if that's what you know you want,''
William's POV;
William scanned over the pews he saw some more than familiar faces; Enid and her son Alwyn, Mrs Pencil, Isaac Tash and Terrence Myers. These eager faces brought back some quite happy memories, but also those bleak moments where he had just wanted to disappear. William had also noticed the two Brakenreid boys messing around and as Brakenreid glanced over he gave them a stern glare; the boys reacted with a prompt turn, to face the obverse of the chapel. Music began and people rose to there feet, George straightened him self up as neatly as he could, then muttered ''here we go!''
George's POV;
While I watched my beautiful fiancé walk down the isle, it made me think back to the first time we had met, in the bank of Toronto. In her bodes she looked so raidiant and when she spoke it was if she had bewitched me, I was no longer in self-control. In all honesty I don't think I was really very interested in Ruby at first, she seemed quite brash and unusual. I looked over to the Detective and caught him gazing at Mrs Jones in the 4th row, it was nice to see him so peaceful purely because of all the sadness that I had watched him go through in the last few years. Mrs Jones noticed him looking at her and blushed slightly before giving a tender smile and met his gaze. I returned her view back to ruby, who had now reached the alter.
The preist started the ceremony and people hushed, at this point William and Julia were sat right next to each other, they were so close that they could feel the electricity running between them. Darcy was not very happy by this situation and every so often he would glance over to check on them.
