The silence wasn't bad, it was the only thing he was fond of in his little hellhole, not that he didn't deserve living in it.
But like he promised he would live on and struggle, for her sake. He broke her heart, he had exposed her to murder and he had stolen all her hope for freedom, despite that she had still loved him.
"Jellal." He still remebered the way she said his name with a kind of softness that melted his heart. He quickly buried his head into his knees as if the memory of her sweet voice would fade away if he didn't.
He heard footsteps coming down the hall and slightly lifted his head to see who it was.
A man wearing the standard police uniform faced him his eyes solid blue.
"Out." His gruff voice ordered as he pulled out a small silver key and inserted into his cell's rusty door making a loud creaking sound as he pulled the door open.
He obeidentley got up and headed out his prison cell, his legs a little shaky from not being in use for a while.
"Jellal Fernandes, your time here is done." The man spoke full authority in his voice as he walked toward the exit, Jellal following
Done? No. It wasn't time yet. He didn't deserve to be forgiven.
"I want to stay." Jellal stated firmly no longer following the man. The man turned around facing Jellal raising an eyebrow.
"Don't be ridiculous. Go home to your family. They probably miss you." The man spoke continuing his way toward the exit.
"There's no home for me to return to, there's no family to miss me." He explained following the man to the exit.
"Who's not going to miss you?" A voice to his right asked. He turned around to find Natsu and Gray of Fairytail leaned against the wall of the exit.
The end's of his mouth pulled upwards.
"I think it's time you came home. Jellal." A voice whispered into his ear, melting his heart. He slowly turned around, his eyes meeting a pair of chocolate brown eyes, no doubt it was his beautiful Erza Scarlet
"Iv'e - we've missed you." Erza corrected herself. Tears threatning to come out the corners of his eyes, he refused to cry, not in front of her. Not in front of his beautiful Scarlet.
"Hey! Don't forget about us!" Voices sang in sync. He looked to find Levy, Lucy and Mirajane all smiling warmly.
Dammit. Not here. Please don't let me look un manly here.
They all surrounded him walking out the Exit smiling and cheering.
God dammit. He was gonna lose it.
As he walked out the exit it looked as if about a hundred people surrounding him all theyre faces familiar then it hit him. It was the whole Fairytail guild.
Cana, evergreen, freed, jet, droy, gajeel, juvia, gildarts you name it.
"WELCOME BACK!" They all shouted in unision.
Maybe it was the fact that they came and visited or the fact that they thought he was worth theyre time, either way no longer able to contain himself he let a stream of tears run down his face everytime he wiped them away they just kept coming.
"Oi! Don't cry! Were family aren't we?" Natsu yelled.
He nodded his head.
"Yea. Family."
Jellal Férnandes didnt mind the silence but he had much rather preferred it loud, with his family.
