A/N: This was my Alternate Universe for day 4 of Freezerburn week and I really couldn't think of a title so you get the cheesy 'Inked Petals'.
The buzzing in the salon ceased and Weiss wiped away the excess ink before marvelling at her own work. "All done."
Her customer gave her a grin. "Looks perfect."
"Thank you." Weiss gave him the aftercare instructions and accepted the final payment and generous tip. "Blake?"
There was a reply from the back room that Weiss could just make out from her position at the front desk. "Yes?"
"I'm just going out for some lunch since it's my afternoon off. Do you want me to get you anythi-"
Blake's head appeared around the door. "Tuna sandwich, please."
Weiss rolled her eyes. "I should have known."
She left her tattoo parlour and saw a flash of blonde hair across the street. Weiss looked up and locked eyes with the tall woman that co-owned the flower shop opposite. The woman winked at her as her toned arms lifted a potted plant and carried it into the store.
Weiss felt a blush crawl up her neck and cheeks as she turned away and continued walking.
Weiss was nibbling at a sandwich behind the desk when the bell rang out to notify them of a new customer.
"How can I help you?" Weiss looked to the door and froze with her sandwich in mid-air.
"Hi there." The woman from the flower shop wore an alluring smile. "I'm one of the owners of 'Red Like Roses' across the street."
"Oh yes? I wasn't sure where I knew you from," Weiss lied.
"I was wondering if you're taking bookings at the minute?" Earnest lilac eyes looked hopefully at Weiss.
"I've got some time now if you like? I can draw up some designs and we can book you in, if you like them of course," Weiss added.
"Sure!"
Weiss enjoyed that afternoon. She had drawn up the symbol that the woman had doodled and described to her whilst trying not to smile too often.
"It's gonna be super awesome!" The blonde woman did some sort of punch into the air.
"It will. Now I just need a name to put your booking under." Weiss felt her cheeks redden. "And a number to contact you on in case I need to change times or anything."
"Of course. I'll write you my number down and the name's Yang, what's yours?" Yang leaned forward and took Weiss' hand into her own. She grabbed a pen and scribbled her number along the back of Weiss' hand.
Weiss felt her knees go weak. "Weiss. My name is Weiss."
Yang leaned back and straightened up her posture. "Cute name. See ya next week, Weiss."
The bell above the door was still ringing when Blake pulled Weiss out of her staring. "You are so gay."
Weiss sighed. "I can't argue with that."
