'This better be worth it' Rei fished through his wallet and pulled out five dollars

'It will be' Nagisa smiled and handed the money to a man over the counter. The man handed the both of them a pair of ice skates.

'Remember Nagisa, only ten minutes. I still can't believe im doing this' the blue-haired boy sighed and pulled off his shoes. He sat on the steps near the fountain. The sky was clear and dark blue. Nagisa and Rei had spent more time than planned out with multiple stops so that Nagisa could 'take a look' at whatever it was he wanted to see. Rei was tired but still content as he had nothing else he would be doing at that time.

Rei tied the laces of the clean white shoes with the shiny sharp blade and waddled awkwardly holding on to Nagisa over to the rink. The ice was cold and slippery and Rei fell instantly. Nagisa let out a giggle and helped him up.

"I'm ok Nagisa, I might just stay by the side and try and figure this out.'

'Oh, OK!' Nagisa got up and like a duck to water he was skating with perfect balance and speed. Rei pulled his scarf over his nose and held onto the the side of the ice rink.

Ok Rei, Just think about this logically, if you stand right and put the right amount of weight on each leg you should be fine.

He got up and clutched the side of the rink.

'OK breathe.'

He let go of the side and managed to stay upright.

For about 20 seconds.

He fell and sighed

'I look like an idiot,'he thought

He felt like he was going to cry.

'This is so stupid, i'm not going to cry over something as little as this.'

He felt hot tears forming behind his eyes. He quickly got off the rink and began untying the skates when he heard a voice behind him

'Hey Rei, I guess you were serious when you said ten minutes only.'

Rei kept his back turned to the younger boy and tried to cover the fact that he had been crying. He gulped and hoped his voice wouldn't be shaky

'This kind of thing just isn't for me, you can go back up if you want'

'Rei,i'm not going back.' Nagisa said

Rei looked up at him

'The only reason I even wanted to come here was so that we could do something together.' The blonde boy smiled 'Oh look at you, getting so worked up over a thing like this. I don't care if you can't ice skate Rei.'

'Really?' Rei asked.

'Really.' Nagisa leaned down to where Rei was sitting and wiped a tear off his cheek. 'Why don't we go do something that you wanna do. I've been dragging you around all day long'

'There is a new novel out by this author I like' Rei got up and looked at Nagisa 'Sorry for being so silly about it, why have we been out so late?'

Nagisa looked embarrased 'Well I kinda wanted to spend some time with you alone, y'know not surrounded by everyone else..' he paused 'its pretty stupid but I kinda like you Rei, like..alot.'

Rei looked surprised for a second before smiling warmly 'I like you alot too Nagisa!' he leaned down and kissed Nagisa on the forehead. 'It's been a privilege getting to spend time with you.'

'O-oh thank you!' Nagisa blushed. 'Now..where is this bookstore?'
