"Doctor, what is that?" "It looks like a a reploid containment pod. An old model, this is exactly like the one Dr. Cain found, containing that "X" reploid." "..." Year 22XX, and a group of scientists, containing 4 diggers, two reploid life savers, and one Doctor. The doctor was known as Dr. S. Dr. S was one of the founders of the new generation reploids, which had been canceled. "Hmm, it's Dr. Lights pod design, but it has a large "W" on it. There's a black rep- wait, no, a black robot." Dr. S said. "How do you know doctor?" "It says it right here. *ahem* The prototype of a powerful robot, with the power to think and feel on it's own. This is a scrapped project, as it kept rebelling against me. It's name, is Bass. I leave Bass to anybody who wishes the world to be coursed in black flames. -Dr. Albert Wily." "Albert Wily!? Wasn't he Dr. Light's colleague?" said one Life Saver. "Hmm... Bass... wasn't he the robot who Dr. Light's Mega Man keep fighting? And only a prototype... this power must be dealt with properly." Dr. S said.
Later at Maverick Hunter HQ...
"X, the police have something here, we need to 'deal' with." Zero said. "Huhn, what is it?" X replied. "I dunno, some ol' robot." "Hey, can you wrap this up? There's a riot down south. Supposedly a human, so the MH's aren't needed." the officer said.
At the Lab...
"This... this is incredible! Not as advanced as Mega Man X, but, there are some things not understandable. But used to create reploids, this design could prove useful! I must adapt this design. It will prove useful, the programs been adapted to small things, and it's shown no interest in anything, except destroying anything that has a virus. Months of research destroyed, compared to this are nothing. I shall make a robot, but seen as how he's the opposite of X, not Maverick, I shall call him... Mega Man Reverse!
"Just about..." Dr. S was just finishing his first design with the new reploid layout. "Just need to activate him now..." Dr. S was a skilled scientist, and the was the designer for the new generation reploids. *Fwash* A blue light emitted from the gem of the reploids forehead. "Scanners activated. Searching immediate area. Mega Man not found. Launch backup program." a strange computerized voice came from the reploid. "Hnn, where am... I?" The reploid said. "Hello there, I am Dr. S, your creator. And you may be the worlds answer for the Maverick Virus! Yes, no longer shall Mavericks terrorize humans. Rise, and stop the Maverick Wars, Mega Man R!"
"Hnn, whazzat..."the new reploid spoke it's first words. "Hnn, who are you?"Standing before him was a human, tall, but not insanly tall. White hair, looks to be in his 50's, and yet, the reploid seemed to reconize him. "Hello, I am Dr. Neko S. Lucius. I created you as a hope to stopping the current situation, the Maverick Wars. Look at your self, I used a reploid to model you as a opposite in looks, abilities, specialties, and even thoughts. I put your body as a dark red to show your courage and style." "Okay, I was based on a... robot thing, modeled after a reploid thing, and supposedly I'm this 'cure' to a virus? Old man, you must be on something..." the reploid replied. "Hm hm hm, you really are reversed. Oh yes, your name, is Mega Man R, the "R"stands for reverse, as you are the reverse to a powerful reploid, and the item we need to reverse the virus outbreak, and ending it." Dr. S said. "Alrighty then, let me go reverse some viruses!" Mega Man R said. "Not yet, I still need to equip you with some things..." Dr. S said. "A couple things... I get the feeling this is going to hurt..."
