"So how did it go, Agent David?"
"The box, was empty." She stated to the Sec Nav, tossing the box on the desk infront.
"No diamond to connect him to the diamond smuggling in Israel?"
"No." She let out a huff as she took a seat. "But he has boarded a flight to Israel. My contact at the Embossy alerted me."
"And DiNozzo?"
" Tony does not know the cases are connected."
"I think it's time we bring him in."
2 days later...
"This is who you'll be handling." Staring back at DiNozzo was Ziva's photo.
"She has been on assignment. As you know, I had you investigate Agent Barrett in regards to NCIS Agents smuggling illegal contents into the US."
"Yes sir."
"Well Agent David, has been doing the same." Vance added. Tony looked up, shock evident across his features.
" Ray Cruz and Barrett along with her team and the former Sec Nav are under investigation for smuggling stolen diamonds out of certain countries. Spain, being one, Israel being another." Sec Nav explained.
"What was Ziva's mission?"
"To get proof. She knew from early on the Ray held some feelings towards her. If she gets an engagement ring, we get proof."
"Did she get it?"
"She got an empty box. He's good."

"You and Ziva are taking a trip."
