You watch as he falls, disappearing through the veil. Your mouth is wide open in a scream of despair, but no sound comes out.
You stare at the veil for a moment, frozen. Then you finally scream, trying to run forward. You feel arms hold you back, and you struggle to escape.
You have failed again. What was the point in being the Boy-Who-Lived when you couldn't even save Sirius?
Your life has always been like this. Three, two, one; time is up. And it seems like you can never beat the time. It seems like you are meant to be defeated.
Now, you have no confidence. How will you kill Voldemort when you can't even save Sirius?
