This is my shot at a horror story. I wanted to see how gory I could go, and now reading it over am a little scared with my imagination. *Laughs.*

I didn't mention tha actully name of bloodbending, or Azula's name untill the end for a reason.

And the short choppy sentences, with the periods in weird places are also their for a reason. I wanted to go for a different writing style, and while the grammer is wrong, I think it sounds really cool when I read it loud.

Hope you enjoy!

No one was around, no one to watch her die.

The ground beneath her was dry and cracked; the air devoid of moisture. There was not one place she could pull water from to protect herself, as the plants were dead too. Burned to a crisp from the fire nation enemy in front of her.

The maniac sauntered forward, knowing full well that they would win. But, not knowing the one power the peasant still contained in her.

The water bender looked around, desperate for anything she could use to save her. Nothing. Except for the blood. It soaked through her sleeves where her opponent had burned her, searing the skin right off.

She watched it curiously her eyes focusing only on the red liquid oozing from her. From all over her.

Her enemy faltered, noticing that Katara's attention was not on them. They halted in their tracks and watched curiously.

Katara was not noticing that her life was being spared for a few more minutes. No. She was too focused on her blood. It was her only hope.

But no, she promised herself she would never do this heinous form of bending.

But she had a different idea forming in her mind. She would not bend the blood, she would pull it right out, so that they would never have to live again.

The limbs would never fire again, and their poisoned tongue would never tell lies again.

The idea was getting more and more appealing as she realized had to live. At least to tell Aang how she felt.

She was not confused anymore, she was not scared. She would not hesitate or waver, and she slowly and painfully rose to meet her opponent face to face.

On her face flicker surprise, but it was quickly gone. She knew they had to end it now.

But so did Katara.

Her foe, made a circular motion with her hands, almost lazily, forming shock blue lightening.

But Katara was in position to, and she pulled toward her.

The fire nation royalty moved.

And exploded… the red was everywhere.

And the world ended in blood. No, not in fire… or ice. But blood and it was everywhere. It showered everywhere and the half dead water bender wondered how much blood really was in a person.

Blood showered down and around and the air was thick with heavy sent of blood, strong and metallic.

Azula's lifeless corpse spun in the air broken, bloody, and mangled. The face was no longer there, and the snap of bones resounded through the air.

Katara's eyes were closed, but she still felt someone else's blood rain down on her, and heard the thud of the falling body.

She closed her eyes tighter, willing herself to become blind, to fall into darkness, to never see the deed she had done.

But the safeness of the dark couldn't last forever and she opened her eyes.

She stared at what was in front of her, a broken copse, and slowly came back to herself.

She blinked once willing it all to go away.

But it didn't.

She screamed.

And Screamed.

And screamed.
