Hi people! I wasn't really satisfied with my first story so I'm making a new one. My reviewers really helped me on this one. I hope you will enjoy it!
Deryn stared at the bullet racing towards Alek's turned back. She raced to intercept the bullet and it caught her in the side as she tackled Alek to the ground. She saw Alek gasp in surprise. "Your hit!" Deryn glared at him and shouted back:
"No duh you daft prince!" It was chaos around the two lovers as the battle raged on...
"Hold on Deryn! I'll get you some where safe first!" Alek lifted the pale, bleeding Deryn in his arms and raced off towards the hatch. As he entered the middies' cabin he placed Deryn on the bed..."Ok Deryn I'm gonna get that bullet out of you, but how?" He looked around the room trying to find anything that would help...His eyes wandered to the rigging knife that Deryn had strapped to her belt. "Perfect!" He sterilized the knife by putting it over the flame of a candle. His hands were shaking as he brought the knife closer to the bleeding hole that the bullet carved into Deryn. He looked at Deryn, she had already passed out from blood lost. He had to do this quickly, He blinked his tears away knowing that if she didn't save him he would be on this floor bleeding as Deryn triumphantly held the bullet in her precise hands. He knew that she wouldn't be afraid if she was in his place. He steeled his nerves and gripped the knife in his hands as he slowly guided the knife into the limp figure of Deryn. He felt her flinch under him as he straddled her. He felt the tip of the knife graze the bullet. "I found it!' he exclaimed. He slowly used the knife to guide the bullet out. As the bloody piece of metal fell into his hand he sighed in relief. After binding her wound with the sleeve of his shirt he glanced at the barking bullet. It wasn't any normal bullet. It was a bullet that carried some type of liquid that would be injected into the victim that was shot. He immediately grew nervous again. "SERIOUSLY GIVE ME A BREAK GOD!"
Sorry! I know that was really short...I promise you that the next chapter will be longer.
