Lily, Evans, Lily-flower, Liliekins, Lady Lily. . . I've heard it all, and these are just a few of the things people call me.
The Marauders and their stupid nicknames, never do the call me the first one, and rarely do they call me the second one, despite the fact that combined they make up my name: Lily Evans. No, they almost always use one of the other ones. Really, when will they learn that enough is enough?
I mean, seriously (and don't you dare start with that pun!), Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, where did they come up with those? All though, if I'm honest with myself, Moony makes since because Remus is a werewolf.
Wait, just one minute!
If Moony is because Remus is a werewolf, does that mean . . .?
You know what; I don't want to think about it.
Back to what I was saying before: the worst part of it all is that they only use the nicknames when their aim is to annoy me. And the worst of them all when it comes to nicknames, is Black. Potter may be the most obnoxious and arrogant (to me anyway, with Black a close second), but at least he refers to me as 'Evans' most of the time. My only other nickname is 'Lils', but they prefer not to use that, I believe Black called it "too plain", but it's what my friends call me.
I personally believe that they would be ten times less irritating if they could just use my real name, I wonder if they actually spend time debating which nicknames they could use that would annoy me most?
Oh look, speak of the devil(s), here they come now, down from their dormitory and they're looking right at me.
