Ryu and the Home-Run Contest
It's a beautiful afternoon at the Smash Mansion where Ryu is enjoying his time training for the upcoming battle. He smiled to himself and said, "I love to train with my friends and you know what, I think I'm going to do the Home-Run Contest right now. Come on!"
So Ryu ran to the Home-Run Contest room for his next part of his training.
When he got there, the voice said, "Welcome to the Home-Run Contest! A game where one swing of the bat could send Sandbag flying! Do you want to hear the rules?"
"I'm good," Ryu replied with a smile as he stepped up to the starting platform.
"Okay! May we have ten seconds on the clock, please."
The scoreboard agreed as 10.00 appeared on the screen along with Ryu's total distance.
The voice said, "All right, Ryu. The clock will start once you hear the buzzer. Ready?"
"As I'll ever be," Ryu replied with a thumbs up.
"Very well, then. Your time starts..."
Ryu closed his eyes as he awaits the sound of the buzzer. He took a deep breath, waited for a few moments and then...
The moment came.
"NOW!"
BUZZ!
With the buzzer sounded, Ryu took off and started attacking the Sandbag with his moves.
After five seconds of attacking, the timer is halfway gone.
"Five, four.." The voice counted.
Ryu took out his Home-Run Bat as he prepares to swing it.
"Three, two, one..."
He charged up his swing and then...
It is time.
KREEEEENG!
Ryu swung the bat with all of his might and it sends Sandbag flying out of the platform and into the skies.
After a few moments of waiting, the Sandbag made a perfect landing as Ryu's total distance is recorded on the scoreboard. The voice said, "Ryu's total distance is... 2,800 feet!"
"Yeah! That's more like it," Ryu said with a smile, "Let's go again!"
"Okay! Scoreboard, another ten seconds if you would please."
The scoreboard agreed as the timer appeared once again. Then the buzzer went off once more as Ryu begins another session. What a great day for the Tireless Wanderer.
