A/N: Why didn't Sansa go with the Hound...

Sansa Stark had always loved fairy stories. Her favorites had always been the ones where the beautiful prince rescued the damsel and made her a princess. The ones where castles were stormed and dragons were slain all in the name of true love. Sansa had dreamed of that kind of love so when Joffrey Baratheon came into her life she thought all her dreams had come true. He was beautiful and kind and he treated her like all the stories said a white knight should treat his princess. Sansa knew that with Joffrey all her dreams would come true. It was only later that she realized that her dreams had become a nightmare.
Before she could blink her beloved father was dead and she was a prisoner of her true love. How stupid was she? How blind? To think anyone could love Joffrey because Joffrey was no white knight. She wasn't sure what he was but he was no hero. For a little while she looked toward his his body guard who Joffrey called Hound. She wondered for awhile if maybe she was thinking of the wrong story. Maybe Hound was her knight. She remembered her father once telling her a story of a badly scarred man who took a woman hostage and got her to fall in love with him. Arya had loved that story but Sansa had hated it. Arya had always loved the stories about hunters and wolves and men who were more then they seemed while Sansa liked the stories about knights and castles and heroic deeds. Sansa wasn't sure what Hound was or what his place would be in a fairy story. Then again knowing her luck if she did go with the Hound he'd get her out of King's Landing and then rape her just because he could.
Sansa wondered what happened to her sister. Was she even still alive? She knew that Arya had at least made it out of Kings Landing because it had sent the Lanisters into a fit. It made Sansa smile that her sister had at least made it out but how far she made it Sansa had no idea. There had been no word from anyone not that anyone would tell her anyway. Sansa regretted deeply the last words she had said to her sister and the last fight they had had. If she ever saw her sister again she would tell her she was right about Joffrey and...she didn't know what but she would spend the rest of her life by her sister side.
When the Hound showed up inside her room she had thoughts of Cersei in her head and what she had said. Cersei hadn't realized it but she had given Sansa a plan on how to escape one way or another. She would do something she had never thought she would do. She wasn't going to wait for her knight in shining armor to save her because life was not a fairy story or at least not a pleasant one. Living with the Lanisters had taught her that much.
That is why she didn't go with the Hound when he offered her an escape because she didn't want to escape, not anymore. If Stannis Baratheon won she would be whatever he wanted her to be as long as he killed Joffrey for her. If he wanted peace with the Starks she would help him get that. If his men wanted sex well then she would open her legs for him.
If the Lanisters won she would bide her time. She would be nicer to Joffrey and get him to trust her and one day he would. One day he would come to her for comfort or even for sex and on that day she would cut his throat. She smiled at that thought which is why a part of her wanted the Lanisters to win because she wanted to feel Joffrey's blood on her hands. She was a Stark after all and Starks did there own killing.
Sansa smiled as she sent the Hound away and closed her eyes and pictured the wolves. Winter was coming and this time she was going to be ready when it did.
