Ashley had let the best girl he'd ever been with get away, and now it was too late to get her back. It was his own fault Alexis broke up with him, he didn't pay enough attention to her.

"Ashley?" Alexis asked suprised.

"Hey, Alexis." Ashley sighed, looked down at his feet, then looked at the grave stone in front of him.

"Ashley, what are you doing here?"

"I came to say I am sorry, I should have payed more attention to you. I know now it's too late."

"Yeah, it is too late, I'm gone," Alexis paused for nothing more then two seconds before adding, "forever."

"Why do people realize how they really feel when it's too late, and the people they love or care are already gone?"

Alexis shrugged. Ashley kept his eyes on the little angel and the plache, tracing the name that was ingraved with his eyes; over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

"I should go, goodbye Alexis, I'll be back soon."

"Bye Ashley."

He waved as he turned away, leaving a slightly brokenhearted Alexis at her step-mother's grave; Kate Beckett's.
