Daryl and Beth have been together for months now. They fell into a pattern each day. In the morning Daryl went hunting. While Beth made briefest. It was just another day. Daryl woke up and waited till Beth awoke to tell her he was going hunting even though she already knew.

Beth stirred and then woke up. Her vision blurry from sleep. When she saw him sitting on a chair across the room she gave him a goofy smile.

"Going hunting?" Beth asked.

Daryl grumbled in response which caused Beth to roll her eyes. She got up and walked over to him and sat across the table he was sitting at.

"I was wondering if I could come with you?" Beth asked slightly uncertain.

Daryl nearly choked on his spit.

"Nah. It's to dangerous. Was his only reply.

Beth knew it was no use so she gave up on that dream. She put her hand on tips of his so he would look at her.

"Be safe then." It wasn't a question it was a statement.

"You too." He says slightly uncomfortably.

Daryl got up and grabbed his cross bow and left. Beth sighed into her hands. She started to make briefest for her and Daryl. She was almost done when she heard a couple voices talking outside. Panicking she grabbed her knife and went to the second floor of the house to get a better look of what she was dealing with.

3 men. Almost or as big as Daryl. It was 3 against 1. She didn't like those odds. They entered the house. There was no way to get out of the house besides jumping out the window but that would be a sucide mission. There was also no way of them not knowing she was here because of the aroma of the now burnt briefest.

Maybe she could sneak out of the house unnoticed. It was a long shot but she had to try. Right? Right now she was a sitting duck. She left the window and slowly creeped down the stairs. The old steps creaked from below her. She knew she was done for. 2 of the 3 men looked up at her.

"Well well... Look what we have here. A pretty thing we got here. To bad we gotta kill ya." One said.

Beth's heart stooped in her chest when she heard that. She knew she was dead.

The other guy that saw her ran at her. She ran away, but she was just to slow. The man tackled her, and grabbed his knife. Without thinking twice he stabbed her in the gut. She screamed out in pain but it only came out a mumble because he covered her mouth with his dirty palm. The man wasn't done there. He grabbed his knife again and slit Beth's throat. She managed to scream out as she was cut. The last thing Beth saw was that mans face as he killed her. His faced looked amused. He killed her for enjoyment.

Daryl was walking back from his hunt earlier this morning. He was on the road where the house was when she heard a pained scream. He panicked. He knew that scream anywhere. It was Beth. He ran to the house to see 3 men walking out of the house. One of them was covered with blood. Daryl saw red. Without thinking he killed all of the man with his cross bow.

He walked in to find Beth in a pool of blood. Dead. He stomach turned. His light was gone. A jolt went through him. A tear slipped down his face. He let the tears Flow. Beth deserved to be cried over. Daryl timidly walked over to Beth. One of the Men must've already stabbed her in the head so she wouldn't turn.

Seeing all the blood and Beth made him feel sick. He ran outside and threw up in the sidewalk. He wiped his face and made his way back.

"I'm so sorry Beth. I'm so sorry. I should've let you come. You would've been okay if you came."

He let another round of tears flow. About an hour later he grabbed the courage to pick her up and bury her. He kept her journal so he'd have a piece of her with him always. As days went by he always thought about her.

Beth was right.

"you're going to miss me so bad when I'm gone Daryl Dixon."

He missed her. More than her ever thought he would.
