"Captain Pierce? Hawkeye? I've got a package for you."
"Go away Radar. I'm sleeping."
"Uh... I think you're going to like what I have in the package."
Hawkeye sighed, and sat up in his bed, eyes half shut still.
"Radar, if there's not a nurse in that package, I am personally going to throttle you."
Radar handed Hawkeye the package, and he tore into it, a bright smile appearing on his face when he saw what was inside.
"Cherries! Do you know how long I haven't had cherries for Radar... I could kiss you for this."
"Please don't."
Radar backed away from Hawkeye, who had a wicked glint in his eye, and he bumped right into Trapper who was just entering the Swamp.
"Sorry Captain McIntyre, I was just leaving."
He almost ran out of the Swamp, leaving Trapper with a very confused look on his face. Hawkeye popped the first cherry into his mouth and moaned.
"Hawkeye, what have you got there?"
"Cherries. The most wonderful fruit in the world."
He held out the package and offered Trapper one, who declined.
"I don't like cherries Hawkeye."
Hawkeye's expression suddenly became one of shock.
"You don't like cherries? How can someone not like cherries?"
"I don't know, I just don't like them, that's all."
He moved from the doorway to the seat across from Hawkeye, and watched Hawkeye savour that taste of the cherries, before leaning forward and wiping the red stains from his mouth with him thumb. Hawkeye motioned for Trapper to come and sit next to him, and he did so.
"Close your eyes."
He did, and Hawkeye picked up a cherry and fed it to Trapper, letting him bite the flesh off from around his fingers. He put the stone onto the table next to him, and did it again, and this time Trapper was a little more willing to let him do it. He opened his eyes slowly and stared in to Hawk's, taking the whole cherry into his mouth and removing the stone.
"Thought you didn't like cherries."
"I lied."
He sucked the stains of Hawkeye's fingers until they were clean, and proceeded to feed Hawkeye a cherry, who returned the favour eagerly.
"You just wanted me to make you eat them, didn't you?"
"Yeah. I knew you would. You're easy."
"Only for you Trap, only for you."
He met Trapper's lips with his own, and for a while, the cherries were forgotten.
